how i experience

Bodies have always been present in my work. My relationship with the body goes back to my earliest visual memories; even the drawings I made as a child were centered around the human figure. Although I have explored other subjects and directions throughout my practice, the body has remained the central presence. In this selection, I aim to show the different manifestations of the body throughout different periods of my work; how each time I have approached this recurring subject from a new perspective and continued to investigate its possibilities. My relationship with the body also shapes how I paint, and after my injuries I began painting with my left hand and discovered that each of my hands had a different character and visual language, raising deeper questions about authorship, identity, and what it means to be an artist.

how i encounter

I work with a wide range of materials and I am especially drawn to found materials. A new white canvas, with the expectation of being untouched and starting from zero, has always felt somewhat intimidating to me. However, I find it much easier to connect with an object that has already been part of a process and carries traces of a story. Working with found materials feels more honest and intimate to me, and I also resist the illusion of beginning from nothing or creating solely from myself. There is also a playful aspect in experimenting with different materials and discovering their possibilities.

how i understand

The fractal structure of the world has always fascinated me, and I find this way of thinking applicable even to intangible concepts. I experience phenomena visually, and in my mind, thoughts, ideas, social constructs, and concepts have their own fractal structures and relationships.

As humans, we often divide complex phenomena into smaller p arts in order to understand them. Yet these divisions are not often the true nature of things; just ways of approaching and making sense of what surrounds us. Fragmentation, for me, is not about breaking things apart, but about discovering the relationships between parts and the larger systems they belong to. This way of thinking naturally enters my creative process through fragments, assemblage, and the continuous dialogue between individual elements and the whole.
